A hybrid inverter combines the roles of a solar inverter and a battery inverter, deciding moment to moment whether to power the home, charge the battery, or export to the grid. That makes for a tidier install and smarter use of every unit you generate.
With two MPP trackers it handles roofs facing different directions, and its backup capability can keep essential circuits alive during an outage when paired with a battery and gateway.
